Before you arrive
How to arrive, and how to leave.
Most visits need very little from you. A few things change the treatment, and it is kinder to know them before you book. This is studio policy, not a medical opinion. If you are under a physician’s care, follow that plan first.
Come as you are. Makeup can be removed in the room. For two days before a peel, a HydraFacial, or dermaplaning, pause retinoids, scrubs, waxing, and leave-on acids, including salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Do not come with a sunburn, a cold sore, or an open spot on the face. If you had filler in the last two weeks, or Botox in the last week, say so. The facial can be changed. Your appointment does not have to be cancelled.
HydraFacial, professional peels, and dermaplaning wait until you are no longer pregnant or nursing. That is the device guideline, and it is the studio rule. A gentle facial, without those steps, can still be planned. Tell us when you book, not when you are already on the table.
If you are taking isotretinoin, including Accutane, or you finished it in the last six months, COVE will not do a HydraFacial, a peel, or dermaplaning. The skin is thinner and slower to heal. A calming facial can be discussed instead. Six months is counted from the last dose.
Sunscreen is the aftercare that matters. Use it that day, and again if you are outside. For two days, skip retinoids, acids, scrubs, and waxing. A peel may flake. Leave it alone. Do not pick. Makeup can wait until the next morning. A HydraFacial should not feel raw. If it does, or if a cold sore starts, write or call and we will tell you what to do next.
The booking rules are separate. Booking policy. When you are ready, book.
