Acne care
Breakouts are common, and they are rarely fixed by one more cleanser. The useful first step is to name what the skin is doing, sort the routine, and choose a pace you can keep. This page is that plan, whether the face is yours or your teenager’s.
Congested pores, red inflamed spots, and deep cysts are not the same problem. They are not treated the same way, and guessing usually leads to the wrong product.
A lot of acne gets louder from too many acids, or from products that were never meant to be used together. Part of the visit is deciding what to stop.
Some skin wants one clarifying facial and a simpler routine. Teen skin often does better on a short series, so the change is something you can see, not a single good day.
If it is your skin
Tell us what changed, what you have already tried, and what you want the next month to feel like. You can come into the studio, or start on video if walking in feels like a lot. The plan is written down, in plain language.
If you are a parent
You are welcome in the room. The visit is still theirs, and you will hear the same plan they hear, including what to stop buying. COVE does not prescribe. If a dermatologist is the right next person, that is what we will say. For teens 14 and up, the facial built for this is below.
If you are unsure, begin on video. If the skin is congested and ready to be in the room, book the Clarifying Facial. Teens who want a repeating plan should use the facial further down.
A daylight photo, the products already in the bathroom, and a written plan. It helps when the breakouts are new, or when you want a clear next step before anyone touches the skin. The $125 may be credited toward a visit or the GlyMed+ recommended for you.
How the video visit worksBook a virtual visitFor congested, oily, or breakout-prone skin. The facial clears what it safely can. Extractions are skipped when the skin is too inflamed to take them.
Book the Clarifying FacialTeens 14 and up
A calm facial for teens 14 and up, when breakouts are the reason for the visit. It opens with a skin analysis, so Kate chooses each step for that day rather than following a script. They leave with a short home routine, and with notes you can compare at the next visit.

Clear Skin Series: 4 visits for $540, used within 6 months.
A parent or guardian comes to the first visit, so the skin, the plan, and the home routine are explained once, together. After that, your teen can come on their own. Questions before you book? Call or text (727) 318-7644.
After the first analysis, Kate sets a schedule around what that skin needs. Some teens do well once a month. Others start closer together, then space the visits out as the skin settles.
Yes. The steps are chosen for teen skin. This facial does not use strong peels, and anything that looks too inflamed that day is softened or skipped.
Tell us before the visit. Steps are adjusted or skipped for Accutane, tretinoin, and other prescriptions. Deep cysts are a reason to see a dermatologist, and we will say so.
Series visits follow our standard policy: cancellations or reschedules within 24 hours are charged $50. If you move away or a doctor advises stopping, the series is refunded with each used visit counted at $150.
Kate matches a short routine to your teen’s skin. The products are the same GlyMed+ used in the treatment room, and you can reorder them from our GlyMed+ store.
